Glassblowing

A material that can be transformed into any shape using heat. Glass plays a such crucial role in many areas, from everyday products to works of art and even tools. For my year-long project in eighth grade, I wanted to explore this topic and learn more about processing glass.

I attended two courses to learn how to work with glass.

The first was a three-day course on glass blowing at the flame in Switzerland.

We learnt the fundamentals of working with solid glass and later progressed to making hand-blown spheres.
